Journalism degree from Ohio State University.  Started at WRMF in 1980.

Family:

Wonderful husband, Tim, a captain with American Airlines.

Two awesome kids:  17-year old Samantha and 12-year old Caroline.

5-dogs: 2 Great Danes (Bella and Archie), 1-Boston Terrier (Trixie), 1-miniature Daschund (Gretel) and 1-Pug (Lola Frank) 2-cats:  Snickers and Milky Way and 1- (please tell me why I bought this animal) hamster named Cookie.

Interests:

·         I love to ride horses.  It's been my passion ever since I was a little girl.  Now I vicariously live the "show circuit" life through my youngest daughter, Caroline. 

·         I love to clean... I know it sounds weird, but hey, it relaxes me and the house looks great.

·         I can sit and read a good book for hours, but getting through a DVD is an effort.  I'm too hyper to sit through an entire movie!!

·         I love the beach, travelling and gardening.

·         I love my job. I'm lucky enough to have a career that's incredibly fun, challenging and rewarding!   I get paid to play... how can you beat that?

·         I love to cook Italian food... my family says it's the only thing I cook right!

Favorite Places:  

The beach, my childhood stomping grounds of Newport, RI, anywhere in southern Italy, the Dominican Republic (great people), Savannah, Georgia and the shores of South Carolina.

Favorite Movies:  

The Godfather still ranks near the top of my all time favorites, along with The Sound of Music. But today I'd lean more toward Enchanted, Bourne Identity, Live Free or Die Hard, and I can't wait for the new Indiana Jones and Harry Potter flicks!  

TV:

The reality tv bug has entrapped me with "Dancing With the Stars." Maybe it's my lack of dancing ability that makes me enjoy it.  But I also love Bones, CSI and Cesar Milan, the Dog Whisperer. Plus, Myth Busters, How It's Made and most shows on the Discovery Channel (it's the geek in me coming out!) .

Pet Peeves:

Motorists who find joy in parking in the high speed lane at 45mph, those who are surprised you have to pay to exit the turnpike, parking lot speeders, bad table manners, unruly, screaming children in a restaurant or movie, and bad cell phone etiquette. (boy, I sound like an old, miserable woman!!! )

My Bucket List:  

Things I want to do before I leave this world:  see my children graduate from college and find success, witness their weddings, take a mule ride through the Grand Canyon, live in Italy for a year, learn to play the piano, ride a horse everyday, see the Ancient Wonders of the World and win the lotto! (I dream big)

If I weren't in radio:

I'd live on a horse farm and groom the horses, muck the stalls and ride all day. Or more realistically, work for a charity like the March of Dimes.
