M. I. C....See you real soon Annette!
ANNETTE FUNICELLO, one of the original Mouseketeers on the "Mickey Mouse Club" in the 1950s, died yesterday after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. She was 70 years old.
She had been in a coma, and her family made the decision to take her off life support yesterday.
Annette is survived by her second husband Glen Holt, and three adult children from her first marriage.
Frankie Avalon issued a statement saying, quote, "She was a very courageous gal that fought and fought and fought . . . I'm devastated. I loved this gal."
$20 for a concert ticket!?!?
Kid Rock has worked out a deal with Live Nation to make ALL the tickets for his summer tour available for just $20. Plus, his people are working to lower prices on things like beer, parking and merchandise for every show.
Kid says, quote, "We're all fortunate to make as much money as we do, and I can surely take a pay cut and help out in these hard times . . . we're going to make less money, but I've got enough money to where it's not going to kill my lifestyle.
"And who doesn't want to play to a packed house every night?"
To be clear, he isn't cutting corners by taking anything away from the show or shortchanging his crew. He says, quote, "I'm the one saying, 'If this doesn't work out, I'll take the pay cut.' It's a way of saying 'thank you' to the fans."
He also says they're not selling tickets for the front two rows, so they can offer free upgrades to random fans on the day of the show.
Once you're there, 12-ounce beers will run you $4 at every venue, which Kid Rock says is "fair," and he's slashed his t-shirt prices from $35 or $40 to $20 and $25.
The tour runs from June 28th in Virginia through September 15th in Tampa. The opening bands will beUNCLE KRACKER, and either KOOL AND THE GANG or ZZ TOP.
Yep, Richie Sambora is on the sauce again.
Last week, BON JOVI guitarist RICHIE SAMBORA left the band's tour to deal with mysterious "personal issues."
Why? Well the "New York Post" claims he IS drinking like crazy again.
An "insider" says, quote, "JON [BON JOVI] has been trying to get rid of him. He drinks constantly and has a stream of Hollywood bimbos around all the time, he really is a hard partier, and so are the women he hangs out with."
The "Post" says Jon's wife Dorothea "urged" Jon to give Richie the boot in order to keep the show free of drugs and alcohol.
Will YOU watch Vinny's talk show?
MTV will air a "sneak peek" of VINNY GUADAGNINO'S new talk show this Sunday after the "MTV Movie Awards".
The show is called "The Show With Vinny", and instead of interviewing various celebrities in a studio, Vinny will have them over to his family's home in Staten Island, where his mother Paula will cook for them.
"The Show With Vinny" premieres on May 2nd.
What Would Jesus Do?
He'd buy this.
The History Channels "The Bible" sold 525,000 copies on DVD and Blu-ray during its first week of release, and that's already enough to make it the best-selling miniseries of all time.
