Let's hope she gets the help she needs!
Amanda's doctors are extending her hospital stay for TWO WEEKS, saying they need that much time to properly diagnose her.
TMZ says doctors believe she's suffering from SEVERE mental illness, and they've even noticed schizophrenic tendencies. They say she can go through long periods of lucidity, but she can also slip right back into CRAZY.
But on the plus side, she tested NEGATIVE for all drugs, except marijuana.
Yesterday, Amanda's parents filed for a conservatorship.
WHAT A PIG! LEAVE HER ALONE SAM!!
Apparently, Amanda has become friends with SAM LUTFI over the past few months. You may remember that name because he's the leech who was suckling at BRITNEY SPEARS' teat during HER meltdown.
Britney ended up getting a restraining order against him. Oh, and sources say he's currently managing COURTNEY LOVE.
Oprah, Oprah, Oprah!
OPRAH WINFREY has announced that her post-rehab interview with LINDSAY LOHAN will air on Sunday, August 18th. It'll be an episode in her "Oprah's Next Chapter" series on her cable network, OWN.
HUGH JACKMAN will be the subject of "Oprah's Next Chapter" this Sunday, and she's interviewing GLORIA ESTEFAN the following week. The week after Lindsay, on August 25th, she'll sit down with TINA TURNER.
She'll also will appear on "The Late Show with David Letterman" next Thursday. This will be just her second appearance since Oprah and Dave buried the hatchet on his show back in 2005, after years of not being the best of friends.
Oprah and Dave have talked since then. Dave was featured in an episode of "Oprah's Next Chapter" back in January of this year.
Her OWN network is developing a reality show based on former NFL AND baseball player DEION SANDERS. The show is called "It's Prime's Time", and it'll debut early next year. (One of Deion's nicknames is "Prime Time".)
The show will cover, Deion's "crazy and chaotic life," which includes, quote "the challenges of raising his five children in a household that also includes his mother, her foster children and his aunt and uncle."
His girlfriend TRACEY EDMONDS will also appear on the show.
Mini Glee memorial for Cory
The cast and crew of "Glee" gathered yesterday for a memorial to CORY MONTEITH on the Paramount studio lot, where the show is filmed.
150 people attended, including "Glee" stars Lea Michele, Kevin McHale, Darren Criss and Chord Overstreet . . . and creator Ryan Murphy.
Fox issued a statement saying, quote, "Today, Ryan Murphy and Lea Michele gathered the cast, crew and producers of 'Glee', along with colleagues from the network and studio . . .
"To share memories and music in an emotional celebration of the life of Cory Monteith. We thank the public for their continued outpouring of love and support as we grieve our friend and colleague during this difficult time."
The paparazzi caught up with JANE LYNCH later in the day, and she said the memorial was "beautiful".
A GEORGE boom may begin in London
In case you haven't noticed, British people get REALLY worked up about these royal births. And one of the results of that hysteria is that a lot more newborns are going to be named George in the coming year.
Ancestry.com says the birth of a royal baby increases the popularity of his or her name by 32% . . . about ONE-THIRD.
That means that in the coming year there will be 1,400 more Georges than there would have been otherwise. Which means there will be 5,740.
Back in 1982, PRINCE WILLIAM'S birth gave the name "William" a 23% boost. And thanks to PRINCE HARRY two years later, "Harry" shot up by 55%.
Miley's short 'do is over?
MILEY CYRUS may have to grow her hair long again just to be different, because she claims everyone's been COPYING her since she cut it.
In a German interview, she said, quote, "Hopefully my hair grows really quick and next time you see me I'll have a pony down to my butt.
"I just always want to be different. Everyone else has cut their hair to look just like me, so now I got to do something different. I don't like when you walk in and you see a bunch of other yous."
Taylor Swift has DEEP pockets!
TAYLOR SWIFT spread some serious love at Ralph's Italian Restaurant in Philadelphia last Friday. She brought her crew plus her opening acts ED SHEERAN and AUSTIN MAHONE for a late-night dinner after her concert.
When she found out the chef's autistic son is a huge fan . . . she gave him two tickets for her show the next night.
The chef told E!, quote, "It was so kind-hearted of her. My son is 11. It was my son and I's first concert we've ever been to! It was really special."
This part is cool too . . . especially if you've ever busted your ass as a food server. The meal was 800 bucks . . . and she left a $500 tip. That's a 62.5% tip. Yeah, it's pocket change to her, but it's still generous.
